Komelong Consulting is a Human Capital Development Consulting company. Komelong Trading is a BBBEE Level 1 and wholly black owned Human Resources Consulting company. The company was formed by experienced consultants in the field of Labour Relations and Human Resources.

COMPLIANCE

The government has developed numerous pieces of legislations for companies to comply with, this has placed an administrative burden to companies especially SMMEs. Komelong saw a need to form a company that would assist companies and mostly SMMEs with compliance to all those pieces of legislations, Komelong offers prospective clients the opportunity to have an outsourced Human Resources office outside their premises.

CONSULTING

Komelong will help their client’s to be compliant in the BBBEE, Employment Equity, Labour Relations, Skills Development and other Human Capital Development aspects. We employ the old consulting methodology of undertaking site visits at least once a month at the client’s premises in order to understand the company’s culture and challenges to be able to assist them fully. The company is formed by experienced consultants in the fields of Labour Relations, BEE, EE, Skills Development, Health and Safety and other HR aspects.

Thabiso Hoaeane

Managing Director

Qualifications: BSc Degree, Diploma in Human Resources Development, Registered Skills Development Facilitator and other Training Licenses.
Experience: 5 years lecturing and teaching, 12 years as Human Resources practitioner especially in the Training and Development field. 5 years Skills Development Facilitator (Client Liaison Officer) for MERSETA/CHIETA/SSETA/FIETA and other SETAs.
Advising: Companies as an independent Consultant on SETA processes and compliance issues. Have worked for Komelong on consultation basis for the past 5 years as a Human Resources Consultant.

Brian Magqaza

Marketing Director

Qualifications; Certificate in Conciliation and Arbitration, Diploma in Human Resources, Certified Program in Industrial Relations.
Experience: Guest Relations Officer in the Hospitality Industry for 5 years, National Trade Union Organizer for 11 years, General Secretary of the Bargaining Council for 9 years, Lashka Consulting Project Manager for 3 years and Consulting for Komelong Trading for 3 years.
Member of various boards: Gauteng Tourism Board, CATHSSETA , National Association of Bargaining Councils, Greater Johannesburg Region 9 Development Centre.

OUR SERVICES

Mandatory and Discretionary Grant Levy Claim

A company is eligible to claim up to 20% of the Skills Development Levy through submission of an Annual Training Report, Workplace Skills Plan and a Pivotal Report/Plan. The Skills Development Levies Act was developed to enable companies registered for PAYE and having an annual payroll exceeding R500,000 per annum to claim back the 20% of Skills Development levy (1% of monthly payroll to SARS).

Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Consulting

The government has introduced Broad Based Economic Empowerment legislation (Broad Based Black Economic Act 2007 and Gazetted Codes of Good Practice on B-BBEE of February 2007) in order to empower previously disadvantaged people so that they can be integrated into the broader business arena in South Africa. The real BBBEE involves transformation of companies that will also involve visible Return on Investment to also benefit the company. Komelong Trading will assist companies to claim points in all the elements and devise strategies as to how companies can maximize points .

Employment Equity Consulting

The Government has developed the Employment Equity Act 55 (as passed by Parliament on 21 August 1998) in order for companies to give equal opportunity to the previously disadvantaged employees in employment opportunities. Companies need assistance in identifying positions in the companies where blacks are underrepresented and assist with the development of a strategy for closing the gaps identified.
Komelong will assist in: • Understanding the Act and its application (Prohibition of unfair discrimination and Affirmative action policies) and more..



Health and Safety Consulting

The Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 gives a burden to Employers to protect and render a healthy and safe work environment to the employees. Komelong Trading would like to remove some of this burden from the employers in order for the employer to concentrate on production and leave this administration burden to our company.

Labour Relations

Komelong Trading intends to advise companies on Employer Employee relations in line with the Labour Relations Act No 66, of 1995. In this quest, we would like to create and maintain healthy workplace relations between the employer and the employees. The best remedy has always been prevention of problems before they start rather than being reactive.

HR Consulting

Komelong Trading specializes in the following Human Resources Consulting service areas:
